A SPECIAL PURPOSE ARCHITECTURE FOR ONBOARD REAL TIME STEREO VISION

In this paper, the authors show how two line-scan cameras, mounted on the top of a car, can be used to detect the obstacles on the road in real time, even with small computer architectures. Results of simulations and field tests are presented.
