CALCULATION OF LOCAL STRESSES IN BRIDGE DECKS
RASCHET MESTNYHH NAPRYAZHENIJ V KONSTRUKTSIYAH MOSTOV
This research report outlines a method for calculating localized effects caused by the anchorage of the prestressing cables in prestressed concrete bridge decks. The method is semi-analytical. Practical applications are given in tabulated form. Several cases are examined:- Anchorage of the cables at the extremity of the deck; - Anchorage in the floor or the webs of the beams. Results of experimental investigations are given. Some tests were carried out on plexiglass slab models with an anchorage system in their centre and on plaster girder bridge small-scale models and concrete large-scale models. Mention /TRRL/
