FREIGHT TRANSPORT REGULATION AND THE NEW FRENCH URBAN MOBILITY MASTER PLANS
Urban distribution centers will become the main interaction points between inter-city and inter-city goods transport. These transfer-centers create the opportunity to use the most appropriate transport modes within and outside cities. By introducing short-distance combined transport goods distribution systems, the deliveries of goods to cities can be made more efficient (economically and environmentally). The centralized, consolidated supply of goods in intermodal urban terminals make it more convenient to operate specially designed urban logistic systems.
