NORTHEAST CORRIDOR TRANSPORTATION PROJECT REPORT
The Northeast Corridor Transportation Project was charged to determine the inter-city transportation facility requirements of the Northeast Corridor through 1980. This report contains the following: A comparative analysis of the transportation alternatives as to their technical feasibility, economic costs and benefits and other impacts in the year 1975; A discussion of the actions required to implement the transportation alternatives; An examination of possible financing and management of new modes included in the alternatives; Advantages and disadvantages of various organizational alternatives; Population growth patterns and the Corridor transportation system; Methodology; Description of the alternative systems; and exploratory studies and sensitivity tests.
