A PERFORMANCE PREDICTION SUBSYSTEM, FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT

A primary objective of a pavement management system is to provide pavement surfaces with acceptable riding quality, at the lowest possible cost. In this paper, the performance prediction model accounts for the losses in riding quality induced by the geographic and climatic environment. Further, a method is proposed to account for the deterioration of pavement layers at the end of the performance life when the pavement needs rehabilitation by an overlay.
