TURBULENCE-MODEL PREDICTIONS FOR A FLAT PLATE BOUNDARY LAYER
The turbulence model equations of Saffman have been employed to calculate the downstream development of mean flow quantities in a flat plate, zero-pressure-gradient, incompressible turbulent boundary layer. The calculated values of the skin friction agree well with these predicted by Coles' skin friction Law as well as those obtained from the Karman Schoenherr Law at all downstream stations. (Author)
