STUDY OF THE POTENTIAL OF HOVAIR FOR HIGH-SPEED GROUND TRANSPORTATION

The object of the program was to study the potential of the air bearing as a support system for high-speed ground vehicles. The tasks required included analytical investigations of performance characteristics of air bearings, analytical investigations of ride characteristics of vehicles with such support, development of dimensional analysis for experiments, and outlining future research and development requirements.
