LNG TRANSPORT COSTS CUT BY CONCRETE

The use of concrete instead of conventional steel ships to carry liquid natural gas could cut transportation costs by a considerable margin according to the new concept outlined here. The reinforced concrete hull self-propelled carrier will have insulated cargo tanks integrated within the hull. Unlike a conventional LNG carrier with its double hull, the vessel is of a single hull design.
