WET-RED TRACTION TESTS DEMONSTRATED FOR INVESTIGATING TIRE CHARACTERISTICS
It has been demonstrated that conducting wet-road tire traction tests has increased the determination of vehicle safety performance. Directional stability, control and braking characteristics of vehicles have been predominantly influenced by the tires. It is therefore important to define tire performance characteristics through measurements under simulated operational conditions so that vehicle behavior can be predicted and understood. The information derived from tire traction tests is presented on a form that can be used for computer simulation and analysis.
