ON THE SPOT ACCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS AND THE PROBLEMS THEY POSE FOR THE EAR, NOSE AND THROAT (ENT) SPECIALIST

PROBLEME DER UNFALLVERSORGUNG AUS HALS-NASEN-OHREN-AERZTLICHER SICHT

The first study makes a clear definition of that series of diagnostic and therapeutic measures necessary within the framework of interdisciplinary collaboration. For this reason, before deciding whether a particular case necessitates immediate examination or urgent treatment, an ENT specialist must firstly make a thorough and comprehensive survey of all initial findings. This paper discusses some interesting problems relevant to ENT medicine from diagnostic and therapeutic viewpoints. These include, laryngeal shattering and tracheal tearing, fractures of the cartilage in the nose, injuries to the fleshy areas of the face, frontal injuries to the skull, extensive shattering of the frontal base of the skull and lateral fractures of the base of the skull. /TRRL/
