THE BORDER AREA OF ACCIDENTS FOR LORRIES. ARE THE CAUSES TECHNICAL, MAINTENANCE-RELATED OR DRIVER-LINKED?
UNFALLGRENZBEREICH BEI NUTZFAHRZEUGEN. TECHNISCHE, WARTUNGSBEDINGTE ODER FAHRERBEDINGTE URSACHEN?
The operational safety of commercial motor vehicles, as calculated on the basis of frequently uncontrollable operational and load related conditions, bears a close relation to technology and production. Competition and the cost considerations of motor dealers have on the whole contributed to this. One of the most effective measures of accident prevention is that of periodic compulsory servicing, this being dependent on the operational use of the vehicle. Educating drivers is of similar significance e.g. Preparation for high risk situations, and instruction in driving related physical laws. Further measures of accident prevention are indicated and discussed in detail. /TRRL/
