TRAFFIC NOISE AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES, A STUDY OF THE POPULATION OF DOETINCHEM
VERKEERSLAWAAI EN HARTVAATZIEKTE, EEN BEVOLKINGSONDERZOEK IN DOETINCHEM
In a population survey the question of whether people living on a street with much traffic noise run a higher risk of contracting cardiovascular diseases was studied. The survey was limited to housewives aged 40-49 years. The results are discussed in the light of the question whether traffic noise can be a causal factor of cardiovascular disease. It is emphasized that the absolute exposure may have been too small to demonstrate an effect. /TRRL/
