CONSIDERATION OF SNOW REMOVAL AND ICE CONTROL IN HIGHWAY DESIGN
The project study procedures reported included a broad interview program undertaken with highway administrators, maintenance engineers and superintendents as well as field observations at interchanges in nine snowbelt states. Special analyses were made of certain design and operational features which appeared to be potentially critical to interchange snow and ice control.
