MICROPROCESSORS IN COMMUNICATIONS

The features, performance and software of microprocessors are discussed. Various applications are pointed out, of which a few are described, namely the MARISAT Ship Terminal, Radio Station Remote Control, and Strowger telephony system. The Marisat system is a ship to shore TDM satellite communication system.
