THE DEVELOPMENT OF NUMERICAL METHODS FOR THE COMPUTATION OF UNSTEADY PROPELLER FORCES
This paper is concerned with the development of a discrete vortex method suitable for application to the problem of numerical computation of unsteady propeller forces. The method is developed in detail for two-dimensional flows, and systematic results are given to demonstrate the convergence of the method and to check agreement with known analytical results. Extension of the method to three-dimensional flows is briefly discussed, and preliminary results are given.
