EFFECT OF PROPULSION DEVICES ON THE PROPULSIVE PERFORMANCE OF SUPER TANKERS
Overlapping propeller arrangement (OLP) is better than a usual twin screw ship with outward turning propellers, and the propulsive efficiency is the best when the rate of overlapping is 15-20% of propeller diameter.
