A STUDY OF THE FEASIBILITY OF A LABORATORY SIEVING PROCESS
ESTUDIO SOBRE LA FIABILIDAD DE UN PROCESO DE TAMIZADO EN LABORATORIO
On the occasion of the installation of a mechanical sieve for finely divided materials, a study was made to determine the suitability of this machine for carrying out granulometric analyses of soils, of coarse and fine aggregates, and of aggregates extracted from a bituminous matrix. After a brief introduction in which the author comments on the process in relation to the relevant standards, details are given of the electromagnetic vibratory sieve and of the results of tests carried out to verify the accuracy of sieving. Suggestions are made with a view to improving the operational method. /TRRL/
