AMERICAN NATIONAL STANDARD PRACTICE FOR ROADWAY LIGHTING
This presentation has been revised to include recommendations for bikeways and an expansion of recommendations for pedestrian walkways, interchange lighting and high mast lighting, and a distinction between levels of illumination for expressways and major roadways. Changes in the appendices include luminaire placement at isolated intersections and ramps, sample roadway lighting calculations using the per 1000 lamp-lumen approach and more current lamps and luminaires, and calculation procedures for both area lighting using high mast equipment and walkway and bikeway illumination.
