PROPER LUBRICATION - THE KEY TO BETTER BEARING LIFE
Much of the guesswork has been taken out of the selection of the correct lubricant for any given bearing application. Extensive laboratory testing and field analysis by both the bearing manufactures and the petroleum comparies have provided a body of knowledge regarding the effect of lubricants on bearing life. In this first of a series of articles on bearing lubrication, the author summarizes some useful guidelines for lubricant selection.
