THE OPERATOR - THE UNKNOWN FACTOR IN CONSIDERING PLANT OPERATING COSTS

The paper outlines the importance of considering the effect of plant operators on the operating costs of their machines. Specific examples are given of how operators have caused unexpected damage to machines with resultant increases in machine and job costs. Some ways of minimising operator-caused costs are discussed. /Author/TRRL/
