CONTROL OF AC MOTORS IN A NEW CONCEPT OF ELECTRIC TOWN CAR
The design philosophy behind the selection of a static inverter powered a.c. Induction motor drive for an electric vehicle is described and a novel method of pulse width modulation using walsh function multipliers is outlined. The conceptual design of a new electric town car, which ideally matches this type of drive and which is being developed at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, is described. /TRRL/
