COMMERCIAL VEHICLES: WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONAL LIMITS IN RELATION TO ACCIDENT EXPERIENCE
This paper reports an accident investigation undertaken for the naasra economics of road vehicle limits study. The data used are accident reports for the Hume and Newell highways in New South Wales. These, together with vehicle mileage data, were examined in detail to try to identify the relationship of the characteristics and operations of commercial vehicles to accident incidence and severity.
