YIELD-LINE THEORY: A GENERAL ENERGY FORMULATION
The aim of this paper to present the general equations and properties for the study of isotropic slabs by the Energy Method of the Yield-Line Theory. These equations were already known only the the cases in which the middle surface of the mechanism being studied was plane or conical. Now they are generalized for ruled surfaces of any shape with the sole restriction, at the moment, that the surface characteristic be rectilineal. A number of examples is also presented.
