EASTERN USES LASER, BULLSEYE TO SPEED OUTBOUND BAGGAGE
Eastern Airlines has created at its Miami terminal a computerized outbound baggage handling system that two years of operation have proven to be a success. The system itself and the intensive and continual training program of all personnel concerned with landing baggage has helped Eastern reduce its mishandle rate at Miami to 9.3 per 1,000. This is considerably less than half the industry average.
