ROCK CAVITIES AND TUNNELS. ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION AND MAPPING

BERGRUM OCH TUNNLAR. BYGGNADSGEOLOGISK UPPFOELJNING OCH KARTERING

This report suggests a system for investigation and geo mapping of magmatic and metamorphous rocks. There is a discussion concerning different fields of application for geo mapping and aspects of the data that are analysed and reported from rock investigations. Methods for strengthening and tightening of rocks are briefly described. Guidance for engineering geological investigation and mapping deals with aspects on the construction site, geo mapping, filing and correlation between geo analysis on the ground and below ground. The publication may be regarded as recommendations for the drawing up of standard specifications for geo mapping and investigation of rock cavities and tunnels. /TRRL/
