A SIMPLE METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF TRAVEL DATA

A very simple method for the analysis of travel data is presented in the paper. It is a statistically sound technique with outputs which are easy to interpret--especially since it is free of pitfalls like those induced by "multicollinearity". In this paper the procedure called elementary analysis is described and its use illustrated with the aid of example. Furthermore, it is compared with methods frequently used in the literature for the analysis of travel data. /Author/
