DETERMINATION OF COEFFICIENTS FOR PLANNING TIME-EXPENDITURE IN THE DESIGN OF CARGO MOTOR-SHIPS

Coefficients for planning the time to be spent in developing a cargoship design are an important means of improving "scientific/technical: preparations for shipyard production. The Authors discuss the problem and some relevant statistical investigations in East German yards, and present a method for determining these coefficients. The method, which uses "preliminary total cost" as a basis of reference, is relatively simple both in calculation procedure and in the collection of the required data. Its principles have been proved, and the article includes recommendations for further work in this field.
