THE TRANSPORTATION OF DANGEROUS LIQUIDS
This article comprises a brief description of the training given to their drivers by Hargreaves Transport for the haulage of dangerous liquids. Tables are included in which definitions are given of common terms (acid, alkali, aqueous, caustic etc), and less common terms (anhydrous, basic, dermatitic etc) and these terms and definitions are made known to the drivers. The law in UK now requires that all vehicles carrying hazardous loads show a products label detailing the chemical being carried. They also carry a label known as the Hazchem and an example of one of these is shown. /TRRL/
