Q-GERTS. SUMULATION OF AIR TERMINAL CARGO FACILITIES

A Q-GERT simulation model for air terminal cargo facilities was designed. The model is adaptable to most any specified terminal with no reprogramming required. Each adaptation can be accomplished with approximately two man-days. The model was developed primarily to determine saturation capability and bottlemecks in air terminals. When output rate is defined in terms of aircraft loads, an average 24 aircraft loads handled per day with maximum values up to 30 loads resulted.
