ON THE INTERACTION BETWEEN SELF-EXCITED AND FORCED VIBRATIONS (
A study is presented dealing with systems capable of self-excited vibration and acted upon by an external periodic force. For simplification, only harmonic excitation is considered. Covered are one-degree-of-freedom systems with an additional cubic nonlinar term of the restoring force, one-degree-of-freedom systems with a cubic characteristic and prestress, one-mass sytems with two-degrees-of-freedom, and two-degrees-of-freedom systems.
