MRIS CUMULATIVE INDEX 1970-1976. A PUBLICATION OF THE MARITIME RESEARCH INFORMATION SERVICE

The Maritime Research Information Service's Cumulative Index for 1970-1976 gives users of maritime information a time-saving and desk-top access to more than 12,000 abstracts of reports and journal articles stored in the MRIS computer file. The publication lists more than 4,000 key words in alphabetical order. Under each key word are listed the titles and accession numbers of the abstracted reports and articles references by MRIS. The Index covers abstracts that have been publiched in the thirteen issues of MRIS Abstracts during 1970-1976. Users of the Index can identify the accession numbers of references whose titles are relevant to a specific search. The corresponding abstracts can be located in the various issues of MRIS Abstracts or may be ordered from MRIS. The new MRIS publication was distributed on a complimentary basis to all users who subscribed to both MRIS Abstracts and MRIS Current Awareness in 1977. Subscribers to one or the other, but not both, of these products may purchase the Cumulative Index for $15. Non-subscribers to the regular MRIS products may purchase the Cumulative Index for $25. Requested abstracts will be transmitted in computer printout format. The charge for the service is $10 for ten or fewer abstracts plus 10 cents for each additional abstract. Thus a user would pay $11 to receive 20 abstracts whose accession numbers had been identified in the Cumulative Index 1970-1976.
