UPDATE OF OPERATIONS SYSTEMS DIRECTORY

The purpose of the survey was to update the State Traffic Records Inventory (STRI) for subsequent update of its Operations Systems Directory. The original STRI was conducted during 1968-1970 and much of that data is outdated. The re-inventory of six selected States was conducted and a new inventory document was prepared for each. Emphasis was placed on the automated files, and especially those which were identified as manual files and have been automated since the original inventory. The results of this project include the new inventory document for the six States (Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas). These new inventories cover all files - both automated and manual. A recommended schedule for the update, by on-site visit, of all States is included. (Author)
