SAWING JOINTS IN ASPHALT PAVEMENTS (WITH DISCUSSION)
Sawing joints is part of new construction. The sawed joints are "designed cracks" and are used to control shrinkage cracking in asphalt pavements. This workshop presentation briefly discusses eight projects that were designed at four airports in the State of Illinois.
