APPLICATIONS OF THEORY IN THE REAL WORLD OF PAVEMENTS (WITH DISCUSSION)
This paper describes the nine steps involved in the approach to pavement evaluation that has evolved over the past 15 years. This is followed by a discussion of three examples of the application of this approach. The three projects, all from California, are representative of the range of asphalt pavement cross-section and usage, including an airport runway, a major street, and an approach road for a small residential area.
