DYNAMIC VISUAL MICRO-MACROSCOPIC TRAFFIC SOFTWARE (DYNAVIMTS) PACKAGE FOR STUDIES ON AUTOMATED HIGHWAY SYSTEMS (AHS)
This paper describes a simulation software specifically developed for evaluating different aspects of AHS including architectures, configurations and strategies. This software, DYNAVIMTS, is part of a four block AHS evaluation methodology. The software is designed to address microscopic as well as macroscopic traffic behavior in a multi-layer AHS architecture based on Berkely architecture. It is a multi-platform software with three modules which operate under Unix, and Windows NT platforms, and call Matlab and Arc/Info for additional processing.
