WORKSHOPS IN ALCOHOL COUNTERMEASURES FOR STATE AND LOCAL HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICIALS
A total of five three-day workshops were conducted in cities around the country to orient influential local officials in the alcohol highway safety area and to encourage them to initiate or intensify local alcohol highway safety action programs. An average of twenty participants attended each workshop; about one-third were from the enforcement (police) area, about one-third from state or local level alcohol and drug agencies; and the remainder from other agencies.
