DEFLECTION DESIGN OF FLEXURAL CONCRETE MEMBERS BY ALLOWABLE SPAN/DEPTH RATIOS
The maximum allowable span/depth ratios given by as 1480-74 deflection provisions are not adequate for controlling deflections of flexural members. For this reason, a modified method of calculating l/d values, which takes into account the effects of various parameters, is developed in this paper. The proposed method is illustrated by numerical examples. /TRRL/
