THE EFFECTS OF PARKING COSTS ON MODE CHOICE
This paper is concerned with estimating the effects of parking costs on modal choice. There are three basic objectives: a) to determine the form of the parking variable and how it should be introduced into an estimating equation; b) to calculate the microelasticity of mode choice with respect to parking costs as a measure of the responsiveness of mode choice with changes in parking costs; c) to determine how the change in one of the characteristics which determine individuals modal choice will affect the expected proportion of individuals taking the choice being considered. /GMRL/
