THE CONSPICUOUSNESS OF THE BICYCLE
DE WAARNEEMBAASHEID VAN DE FIETS
Research has shown that in dusk and darkness there are relatively more bicycle fatalities. The chance of a collision between a bicycle and a motor vehicle by which the cyclist is killed, is much greater in dusk and darkness than in daylight. The cause of these collisions is the poor visibility of the bicycle. In this paper recommendations are given for greater conspicuousness of the bicycle. These recommendations are also valid for mopeds. /TRRL/
