PEDOGENIC MATERIALS - SILCRETE, FERRICRETE, LATERITE, BAUXITE, CALCRETE, GYPCRETE: LECTURE TO POSTGRADUATE COURSE
This report gives a definition of the pedogenic materials studied and details of their mineralogy solubility, chemistry of solution, mobilization and of the precipitation and crystallization of iron, aluminium, silica, calcium carbonate and gypsum. Mention is made of the relationships between laterites, ferricretes, bauxites, silcrete, calcrete and gypcrete, and of their engineering properties. /TRRL/
