THE USE OF THE 'SETAFLASH TESTER' TO DETERMINE THE FLASH POINT OF CUT-BACK BITUMEN
This report gives the results of a co-operative programme of testing, organised by the cut-backs panel of the Institute of Petroleum, to assess the suitability of the "setaflash tester" for the determination of the flash point of cut-back bitumen. It also describes some supplementary tests aimed at improving the reproducibility. The report suggests some small changes in the test procedure and recommends that extra clarity of the description of the test is required to ensure more uniform application of the test method.
