DEFORMATION BOUNDS FROM MODE SOLUTIONS FOR DYNAMICALLY LOADED RIGID-PLASTIC STRUCTURES
The use of simple mode approximations for impulsively and rectangularpulse loaded rigid-plastic structures to bound displacements is considered. The results are compared to rigorous upper and lower bounds on displacements.
