HOW TO REDUCE TO A MINIMUM THE COST OF EARTHWORKS WITH A GIVEN PROFILE
COMMENT RENDRE MINIMAL LE COUT D'UN TERRASSEMENT A PROFIL IMPOSE
The optlon computer program plans earthworks at a minimum cost by selecting the optimum combination of earthwork balance and types of earthmoving equipment. The data required are the location and volumes of cuttings and fills, the location and capacity of borrow sites, and the costs of the various earthmoving operations with the different types of earth moving machinery available. The results obtained give the volume, origin and destination of all earthworks movements, type of machine to use and total earthworks costs. /TRRL/
