ABBREVIATED PROCEDURE FOR ESTIMATING EQUILIBRIUM QUEUE LENGTHS IN RURAL TWO LANE TRAFFIC
This paper takes an earlier procedure for determining the mean queue lengths in the two lanes at equilibrium and simplifies it by assuming that the distribution of queue lengths is known. The results obtained by assuming that the underlying distribution is A. J. Miller, Borel-Tanner, or geometric are compared by a numerical evaluation.
