DEVELOPMENT OF DRILLING RIG AND OF SOIL INVESTIGATION METHODS FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION
UTVIKLING AV BORERIGG OG METODER FOR GRUNNUNDERSOKELSER FOR VEIER
New drilling rig mounted on a small Norwegian-built caterpillar tractor for use in soil investigations is expected to be convenient for general road track investigations, for borrow pit surveying and for road strengthening work. It makes it possible to bore through the road surfacing and to take samples from below with a minimum of delay of traffic. As the vehicle is well suited for difficult terrain and harsh winter conditions, the rapidity and effectiveness of boring are greatly improved.
