PLANNING FOR DYNAMIC POSITIONING
A control system approach to designing an efficient system for dynamic positioning is illustrated. Identification of vessel data and data relating to the controller is stressed and the required variables and operations are discussed in detail. If the values of the coefficients are obtained to reasonable accuracy, a near-optimum central system can be developed.
