ROAD UNITS SHORT SHRIFTED ON FED FUNDS FROM NEW PUBLIC WORKS ACT
Road and street departments across the country for the most part are not reaping any great benefits from federal funds being made available through the recent Public Works, Employment, and Revenue Sharing Acts. Fourteen survey respondents report they have received little or no federal funds through the acts for construction, maintenance, equipment purchases, etc. , and expressed great disappointment in not having projects approved for such funding.
