STABILIZATION OF FINE-GRAINED SOILS BY ELECTRO-OSMOTIC AND ELECTRO-CHEMICAL METHODS, VOLUME I
The paper presents recommendations concerning the practical use of electro-osmotic and electrochemical methods for dewatering and stabilizing fine-grained saturated soils. Also presented are details of the laboratory apparatus for determination of the electrical and permeability properties of the saturated fine-grained soil. These values are used, at selected voltage, for evaluation of the soil resistivity and the volume of water outflow in the field.
