APPLICATION OF ELECTROGAS WELDING PROCESS TO THE HULL CONSTRUCTION ON THE SHIP WAY
Automatic welding machines and improved welding processes can be used to increase shipyard productivity. Electroslag and Electrogas welding have been systematically investigated on structural strength basis and cost benefit basis. These investigations resulted in the design and development of an electrogas welding machine that can be used by one man. This machine has the production capacity of 5 men doing hand welding.
