D&RGW PROLONGS TRACK LIFE
The Denver and Rio Grande Western is striving to increase the life of its track under increasingly heavy loads of unit coal trains. Continuous welded rail, curve oilers, rail grinding, high-silicon steel rail in curves and a precious-metal-slag-ballast all have a role in extending the life of rail.
